The event that most directly caused the Glorious Revolution was B. the birth of a son to James II.

James II was a Catholic, unlike most of England back then which was Protestant. He had a daughter, Mary, who was also a Protestant and was supposed to succeed the throne after James's death. However, when his son was born, he was a Catholic, and thus James wanted him to succeed him, which nobody liked, so, there was war.
