    The necessity of a freedom from one religion guiding a country and influencing its laws and people, which in turn allows freedom of religion keeping the strict dictations of things like Sharia law at bay from American citizens. Although at the same time America clearly has quite a bit of Catholic/Christian influence just looking at a lot of the symbolism in icons and national documents, as well as the precedent of the presidential oath referencing a loyalty to god.
