Ho Chi Minh was a communist leader of the independence movement against the French. The Geneva Accords were agreements that temporarily separated Vietnam into two zones (North and South) at the 17th parallel and set up an election in June of 1956 to unify North and South Vietnam under one government. - This is what I can recall because I just recently did this.
