The Gulf Stream is a major ocean current. Where does this current travel, and how does it affect climate conditions in Europe?

    It transports warm water from the Gulf of Mexico up the Atlantic coast of North America and across the Atlantic to Europe, where it creates a more temperate climate than such a northerly latitude would otherwise have.
