All French colonies in North America, except Louisiana and two tiny islands of Saint-Pierre and Miquelon, were given to the UK. Triumph of London, which changed Kingdom of Great Britain in the British Empire, however, did not meet with a favorable reception in North America. Residents of the colony suffered significant losses and have to bear the burden board and maintain the British Army.
