    The answer is that all public school districts must end segregation. Nixon worked on ending segregation in public schools. Despite some opposition, Nixon through his aides worked things since Federal aid was on hand. Through this effort less than 10% of Black children were attending segregation schools as more and more African Americans were now attending the same schools as Whites.
