Describe the Nazi flag and explain what the elements on it symbolize. To what was Hitler referring when he mentioned "those revered colours expressive of our homage to the glorious past"? Why did he revere this past?

    Hitler was referring to the colors of the old German flag which were red, black, and white. He revered the past because he regarded old Germany as a powerful and glorious nation. He also used the Swastika symbol because of the mystic inclinations of the Nazi army.
