How does the Brown case relate to the concept of federalism?

    Though education had always been a state issue, the Brown case expanded into a federal issue due to what was mentioned in the Fourteenth Amendment where it states that equal protection applies both to federal as well as the states despite being an education issue. This means that children of all races should have access to the same quality of education.
