Who was Robert Houdin?

Robert - Houdin, whose real name is Jean-Eugene Robert-Houdin was a renowned French Magician who is also considered as the father of modern magic and the modern style of conjuring. He was the first magician to improve the signaling method for the trick called "thought transfer". He was also the first magician to use electricity. All "fakes" was exposed by him specially those magicians who depend their feats on supernatural explanations. He catered his audience with possible and seemingly true explanations of his procedure (technical procedure) involving his illusion trick.
