Explain the difference between the virginia plan and the new jersey plan how were these deference resolved

    The virginia plan stated that representation in the legislative branch for each state was based on population. the new Jersey plan stated that every state would have equal say in matters no matter the population. the great compromise was created saying that every state had a number of representatives based on the states population in the House of Representatives but every state also has 2 senators and has equal say in matters
