The native the Americans despised him because he tried to move the natives out of their lands even though the constitution protected the Indians. However, Andrew was able to send them out of their lands anyway. The state supporters also weren't very fond of him. He believed in a strong federal government and even threatened South Carolina if they did not enforce the tariff. Overall, they both didn't like him or his views.
