What was the goal of the immigration act of 1965?

    To rid of the quota system that was based on national origin and established a new immigration policy

    To abolish the national origins quota system that was American immigration policies since the 1920's. It replaced it with a preference system that focused on immigrants skills and family relationships with citizens of the US residents.
