Which of the following did not happen because of the slave rebellion in Haiti? Laws were passed to give rights to free black citizens in the country. General L'Ouverture was able to assert his power to get rid of British and Spanish influence. There were divisions between the land-owning white citizens and the poorer white citizens. The French National Convention abolished slavery in the country.

    "Laws were passed to give rights to free black citizens in the country" was not a result of these rebellions. Although freedoms were instigated later, these were not a direct result of the uprisings.
