I myself would have to say it would have been in the early 20th century looking at the timeline. In 1933 the u. s entered into a profit sharing oil company called the arabian-american oil company. In 1943 president franklin roosevelt declared a defense with saudi abiriba of vital interest to the u. s and made them eligible for lend lease assistance. 1945 the u. s places an air base dhahran. In 1951 the CIA sets up a radio liberty to broadcast anti-communists programs. in 1954 a member of the secret wing attempted to kill Gamal abdel nasser. getting banned from Egypt being forced underground. and in 1970 a more strained begins to develop.
