What elements need to be in place for Mohandas Gandhi's strategy of satyagraha, or nonviolent resistance, to be an effective vehicle for social change? Explain why each is important and list them in order of their importance.

    Satyagraha has several elements to make it work. Unlike passive resistance, it is a weapon of the strong does not acknowledge violence. Most important of all, Satyagraha admits to the truth. These are the elements that Gandhi believes are necessary for it to succeed.
