Why do you think we have so few names to associate with sub-Saharan African history in this period? How did the nature of the societies contribute to this phenomenon? How did their cultural traditions contribute?

    The reason why we have so few sub-saharan names to associate through history and why we have remembered so few is because they have had a different cuture as to what the modern western-hemisphere culture perceieves as important - this doesn't mean they didn't contribute important things to our civilization. Another reson would be that they lvied in tribal societies.
