    A) - not, their rent was pretty cheap actually.

    b) - yes! there was a black market for ... pretty much anything (inlcuding dollars)

    c) - no, the result was in most cases not superior goods, as the producers had little competition and little incentive to improve their goods

    d) no, the bread prizes were kept very low!
