The Cuban Missile Crisis was the culmination of all of the disputes in the Cold War. Following the US instillation of Nuclear Missiles in allied Turkey, within striking distance of Moscow, Russia responded my shipping warheads to already constructed site on Cuba. The US was not willing for such an event to happen. JFK ordered a full Military and Economic embargo of Cuba. The Soviet Leader Khruschev called off the shipment on the stipulation the US not invade Cuba. Which relates to the Bay of Pigs Invasion. The Bay of Pigs was a small location on Cuba's Southern Coast where the CIA had trained fled Cubans to attempt a coup against Filed Castro who had taken power in his own coup. The Bay of Pigs was an absolute nightmare and totally failed. Which only worsened relation with Cuba.
