    The statement which is not true about medieval Songhai is C. its capital, Cairo, was on the bend of the Niger River. The capital of Songhai was not Cairo, which is the capital of Egypt today, but Gao, which is located in Mali. It is true. however, that it was on the bend of the Niger River - it still is today.
