To many freed men and women, what reestablished slavery in disguise? Was it Jim's Crow's Laws?

    It wasn't the Jim Crow laws. They were designed to segregate. The laws that wanted to keep slavery going on are the "Black Codes". These laws made them work for extremely low wages in hard and difficult conditions. They were designed to keep them humiliated and suffering.
