What impact did the war of 1812 have on america?

    The war of 1812 led to development of manufacturing capabilities in America. The British no longer played a role in the development of America and America was given freedom. The British no longer seized American trade ships that were going to Europe. The star spangled banner was written. America got recognition of being a sovereign nation and the government and over all nation gained a better reputation. America became allies with Canada. It also led to the White House being white because it was burned to a black color.
