    Modern Mexico has problems like drug cartels, ongoing poverty and corruption. Although it has reasonable economic growth and a rising middle class, it still has to deal with these internal issues.

    It has experienced economic growth and a growing middle class, but poverty continues to linger and government corruption remains.
