    Francois-Marie Arouet also known as Voltaire is the French philosopher that used Pangloss as a satirical representation. He was born on 21st November 1694 and died on 30th May 1778. He was a very witty writer and he was well known because of his satirical attacks on the Catholic Churches. Voltaire was the person that advocated the freedom of expression and religion. he also believed that there was definite necessity to separate the church from the state. Voltaire's versatility can be gauged from the fact he had written numerous poems, plays, essays and novels.
