    C. New railroad lines across the Great Plains made it cheaper to ship cattle by rail.

    With the formation of properties, the installation of fences and the modernization of the transport popularized by the railroads, the movement of livestock has been reduced drastically. Costs were reduced, time was reduced and security increased.
