In what way did the Magna Carta change the British monarchy?

    It affected the governance, rather than the government. Essentially, it was an agreement between the nobles and the monarch that put limits on the power of the King. For example, the king cant take money or property without consent of noblemen. Another example is the king cant imprison or execute people without a trial by jury or peers.
