George Washington was the first president of the United states of America and so he had to face numerous challenges of controlling a new born nation. the toughest issue faced by him was the issue of the debt. The country had a huge amount of debt over its head and Washington had to overcome the issue being the first president. The constant infighting between Jefferson and Hamilton over issues of taxing farmers was a matter of concern for Washington as well. There were even some cabinet members that did not agree with the ideas shared by Washington as they accepted bribes from other countries.
