    Because Alexander had built up everything and really he was the leader and no one really did for themself. Therefor when he died people were puzzled on what to do.

    Alexander's empire fell after his death because all this general began fighting each other for power. Eventually, four Kingdoms arose, lead by four of his greatest generals.
