    The Mauryan Empire that ruled from 322 BCE to 185 BCE and was founded by the great Chandragupta Maurya. he was ably assisted by one of his great advisor by the name of Chanakya. The Mauryan empire was considered as one of the largest empire in the world during that time. Chandragupta Maurya overthrew the Nanda Dynasty to become the king and started to expand his kingdom very quickly. During the reign of Chandragupta, the Mayryan empire saw a great fillip in trade, agriculture and economic activities. People lived a very prosperous life under Chandragupta's ruling.
