What accompanied the rise in unemployment shown in the table?

    There was no chart presented. But I think the possible reason for unemployment to rise is the increase of imports in Europe. Because of this, there could be problems with promoting their own goods especially if the imported ones are lower in price. This may cause industries to stop production because they will lose the market competition.
