    D. blues and jazz

These genres of music were introduced all over America by the African Americans. The blues originated on the plantations in the south of the country and were the voice of the slaves who gave a musical form to their adversities. It is believed that this kind of music has a lot of influences from African music. Jazz was the mixture of popular and independent music styles, also originating among the African Americans.
