    Well, these people would migrate to explore their surroundings or expand their empire. This would force these Mesoamerican civilizations to understand agriculture in their new environment. For example, the Inca Civilization grew up in the mountains and had to learn to irrigate crops in the mountains. Trade was most common in Mayan and Aztec civilizations. This supplied these civilizations with the tools they needed to survived.
