How does abolition of slavery and the 14th amendment relate to woman's suffrage?

    Because the suffragists at the time were fighting for female rights and wanted that women would have the same rights as men would. This is in essence the same as wanting for slaves to be acknowledged as fellow human beings and wanting the same rights, for that reason when the abolition of slavery happened, the fight of women for their rights can be equated to this desire for equality.
