A student measures the amount of carbon dioxide being given off in an experiment.

They record the measurement on their lab sheet as: 25.

What is wrong with this recorded measurement and why?

    The reason why this lab entry would be incorrect is because it has no units. For instance we don't know whether this means 25 grams, ounces, etc. The experimenter must always define units of measurement.
