    The main subject of the Uncle Tom's cabin story is the slavery. The shelbys, even though they commit serious things, it happens to portray people who are kind to their slaves. Stowe used Mr shelby to show that slavery makes everyone wicked. Mrs shelby is very kind and tries to persuade her husband that slavery is wrong
