which side did China and the Soviet Union support during the Korean War?

Both China and the Soviets supported North Korea through both aid (food, oil, metal, etc.) and military units that were deployed. This was primarily because North Korea, China, and the Soviet Union were all under Communist control, and therefore had the same ideals to form an alliance.
