What program of active government intervention addressed the great depression, and did it avert a social revolution in the in the united states?

    In the 1930's the United States made a decision to counter the effects of the great depression. Tariffs were raised. Protectionism was implemented to block imported goods and protect American from being jobless. This act change the perspective of America it made them prioritize their country and people.
