    The cause of the civil war was about no slave and for the USA to be free to all.

    The cause of the civil war is not because of Slavery. The problem with slavery had been around years before the Civil War. The main problem is state's right. Many southern states believe that they can chose which law they want to follow. If the federal government force them to follow, they can leave the Union. These southern states believe that they can keep slavery even if the federal government said no. It is their rights. Which lead to many argument which then led to the civil war. Slavery is part of the conflict but not the main reason why.
