It is clear from this law that the punishment for someone not telling the truth in court was

    "Giving false witness" is lying in court, so the law says if you lie in court, you get thrown off the Tarpeian Rock and most likely die (I'm not quite sure what the Tarpeian Rock is or how high it is). Basically you get a (very painful) death penalty for bearing false witness.
