Analyze similarities and differences in how TWO of the following empires used religion to govern before 1450. Byzantine Empire, Islamic Caliphates, Mauryan/Gupta Empires

    In both Islamic Caliphates and Byzantine empire religion was very crucial to the system of govern and in both it were giving power to one man, but two diferences are that despirte the fact that in Byzantine empire emperor was supreme leader and patron of Church and relgion matters (contrary to western europe were it was separated) he wasn't a religious figure such system is known as cesaropapis, caliph on the other hand was religious figure, the dfirenece was also that in Byzantium women could rule in caliphate it wasn'et possible
