A deist would believe that it is through God that humans have natural rights to life and liberty. Deists believe that God cannot create miracles and reject dogma and organized religion. They believe that God has created the universe and equally exists, as well as He gave humans the ability to reason. Deism was very popular among the Revolutionists in the United States and France and in the Enlightenment Period, as many philosophers were raised Christian and believed in God, but rejected the notion of Christianity.
