Native Americans adapted utilizing the land around them, from hunting animals in foraging wild plants for food. The used the trees and animal skins to fashion shelter, clothing, transportation (ie: boats), and so on. Some Native Americans were also involved in agriculture, with maize (corn) as an important part of their crops.
