Passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act (1990) improved conditions for the disabled by (2) mandating easier access to employment and public facilities. This prohibited discrimination (also could be applied to the workforce) on the basis of someone being disabled and requires employers to provide reasonable accommodation to employees with disability and equally asks for accessibility requirements for public transportation.
