    Well, all of the answers here are correct about shantytowns except 'C'. But, the best answer would be A. Shantytowns were built during the Great Depression. Also known as Hoovervilles for President Hoover for whom they thought caused all of their misfortune, shantytowns were home to evicted people down on their luck after the stock market crash of 1929.
