Why did the puritans leave England of America

    The Puritans left England in pursuit of religious freedom. At the time, the Puritans' religious views were not accepted by the church of England so they left for the New World practice their religion. So, even way back when people still came to America for much of the same reasons; to be able to live freely and to make a better life for themselves.
