How did the Great Depression become a national problem

    People did not have near as much money as before and therefore businesses went bankrupt and people had to cut back on the way they lived and people who could not pay there mortgages and the had to go live in small little huts that were made out of branches and towels for the doorway

    but then the president got us through the hard times and we went on of depression
