Discuss how political scientists attempt to quantify data, manipulate data statistically, and attempt to validate hypotheses

Political scientists, just like other scientists, gather data through things like questionnaires and interviews and similar things. They use this data to prove a hypotheses and form a theory. This is pretty much what all other types of scientists do.
