    D. Black activisits

The protests grew to include many people of many different backgrounds, but started with the African-American civil rights groups who largely opposed to the war in Vietnam because of the opposition of drafting young men, moral reasons and the devastation of Southeast Asia, which was largely shown on the news in the United States. Some people also viewed the war in Vietnam as racially motivated.
