In what ways would it be accurate to say that the Persians actually won over the Turks?

I'm not sure you can say it at all both empires where not contemporary and they weren't established in the same geographical area the Ottoman Empire controlled parts of Iran for a short time but where eventually overthrown as for Persians ever winning over the Turks i cant think of a single instance
