    Because of the Townshend Acts the colonists decided to revolt against the British and to start boycotting the things they were sending. They were trying to tax them on anything and for everything so when they saw that the price on their beloved tea had gone up, they all lost their minds and that is why they decided to start revolting against being taxed by force.
