A Prime Minister differs from a President in the following ways

A Prime Minister is the head of the government, and is generally designed to 'lead' the government and represent it in the eyes of the people. A President is the Head of State, usually with large power and influence within the country. A President is also usually elected by the people, whereas a Prime Minister is elected by the politicians in a party as the head of that particular party.
